Rizzi is a top award-winning Barbaresco producer, one of the famed Langhe’s stars. Today, the father and son team, Ernesto and Enrico Dellapiana, oversee the wine-production at their family vineyard. A traditional wine producer, the Rizzi family only bottles their top wines.
Ernesto Dellapiana has always been passionate about wines. He revived his family estate and launched the winery in 1974. The Rizzi Wine Company reaches over 44 total hectares, and they boast six cru with some of the most famous vineyards.
Today, their Barbarescos are available in top hotels and restaurants around the world. Their award winning Barbarescos have been consistently featured in top international wine journals including Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Gambero Rosso. Their classic Barbaresco is elegant, delicate with hints of red fruits and flavors of berries, and herbs, with floral and spicy notes.
For Rizzi, tradition and innovation come together for a family-run company that sees old and new generations working together to bring their wines to critical acclaim worldwide. Rizzi’s philosophy has always stayed the same as they produce the finest vintages that are reflective of the season and the territory. Besides their famous Barbaresco, Rizzi Winery also produces other wines including Langhe Nebbiolo, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Langhe Chardonnay, Alta Langa and Moscato d’Asti.
As part of “The Green Experience” Project, Rizzi practises green viticulture and focuses on environmental sustainability, and was also one of the first wineries in Italy to harness solar energy in 2006.
