Wine Enthusiast:
This wine leads with new leather, dark spice, iris and eucalyptus scents. Its linear, slender palate offers sour cherry, pomegranate, white pepper and ground clove—flavors that are held taut by fine-grained tannins and racy acidity. Kerin O’Keefe
Wine Advocate:
Here is a fresh and delicate interpretation of Nebbiolo. The 2014 Barbaresco Tre Stelle is softly layered and graceful in approach. The bouquet brings on spring roses and wild berries with white almond and anise seed. Barbaresco usually shows integrated tannins and this is definitely the case with this wine. The finish is silky and lean-bodied.
Wine spectator:
Complex and enticing aromas and flavors of macerated cherry, licorice, sandalwood, cigar box and tar are the hallmarks of this Barbaresco. Dense and firm for now, but this should develop nicely over the next decade. Best from 2021 through 2035. 333 cases made.
