Terre Del Marchesato was officially launched in 1998, after wine-maker Fuselli spent decades working at Italy’s top wine producers well-known for their Super Tuscans. The vineyard is located in a prime location, surrounded by wine estates including Antinori Estate (Guado al Tasso), San Guido Estate (Sassicaia) and Ornellai.
Today, the family-owned artisanal vineyard is run by Maurizio, his wife Giovanna and their sons Alessandro, Samuele and Filippo.
Their flagship Marchesale, is a Super Tuscan produced in limited quantities, with only the best grapes used for their wines. Enjoyed by discerning wine lovers worldwide, the Marchesale is elegant, rich, with dark fruit and chocolate notes.
Terre Del Marchesato owns 16 hectares of vineyards in Bolgheri, one of the most important wine production areas in the world. Their vineyards plant typical Bolgheri red grape vines as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Petit Verdot and the white indigenous Vermentino.
The best grapes are carefully hand-picked. The refinement takes place in barriques of second passage of French oak for 18 months, and another 12 months in the bottle before Marchesale is released into the market.
Terre Del Marchesato produce a limited quantity of their wines every year, with a focus on producing wines that reflect the terrior of their land. The mineral rich soil in their vineyards have resulted in powerful and elegant wines.
