Welcome!
Robert Parker Wine Advocate:
The 2017 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Cinque Stelle is open-knit and slightly oxidative in personality, with a dark garnet color and lots of dried fruit and prune-like aromas. The wine is full-bodied and determined (with 15.5% alcohol), and those features are pushed forward over the palate thanks to extra aromas of spice and dried tobacco, which are the result of some three years in barrique. The traditional blend used here is 70% Corvina and Corvinone, 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara.
James Suckling:
Lots of ripe blueberries and dried flowers with hints of raisins on the nose. Full-bodied, rich and intense, yet fresh and vivid. Drink or hold.
