Robert Parker-Wine Advocate:
The Aldone 2017 is a pure expression of Merlot drawn from a one-hectare vineyard planted in 1954 by Aldo Fuselli, patriarch of the family. Only 5,000 bottles were released. This is a rich and thickly concentrated Tuscan red that reveals Morello cherry, blackberry confit, sweet tobacco and baking spice. This full-bodied wine shows ample weight added from the ripe quality of the fruit and from 18 months in new French barrique. (Monica Larner)
