Robert Parker-Wine Advocate:
A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Syrah, the Terre del Marchesato 2020 Bolgheri Rosso Emilio Primo is a warm-vintage red with blackberry, plum and baking spice. The wine shows all the classic abundance of coastal Tuscany, but there is an extra tightness or astringency in terms of tannins that gives it a hard finish. Fruit comes from a 4.5-hectare site with medium clay soils. Winemaking starts off in stainless steel add ends with one year in French oak. (Monica Larner)
